SBS top layer Midafleks EKP 5.0 TL2 with white granules is a torch-applied, polymer-modified bitumen roofing and waterproofing membrane that functions both as a waterproof roof covering and a vapour barrier. Polyester fabric, 180 g/m².
Manufactured according to standard EN 13707:2013 from bitumen, SBS polymer modifier (styrene-butadiene-styrene) and mineral filler (talc, dolomite, etc.), applied on both sides to a polyester base. The upper protective layer consists of a slate granule mix to protect the bitumen and polymer binder from UV radiation. The protective layer is available in different colours to suit the building’s finish. The lower surface features an easy-melt polymer film. The material contains no substances harmful to humans or animals.
SBS roofing membrane Midafleks EKP 5.0 is designed for use as the top roofing layer on buildings and structures — both for new roof construction and repair of existing roofs.
